Wow... Now that is definitely a different question! I'll give it a crack since I've had to pull up my fair share of criminal and driving histories for officers in my job. If you ordered a "criminal background", it's likely that traffic violations won't show up on it. There's a difference between a driving record and a criminal history. Totally different things. Out of the things you mentioned, the only thing that would possibly show up on a criminal background check would be the DWI. You'd have to contact the DMV in the area of the conviction to see if they allow access to anyone besides the person whose record it is to obtain a copy. If they do allow it, you'd need to ask what the procedure and cost is. I don't know what the policy of that company is you dealt with, but a correct birthdate is critical and I can see why they'd need 100% accurate information. As far as them not finding anything.. it could be because any traffic violations are on a DMV record, and even then... many states purge driving violations and printouts will only show the prior 5 years or so.. (varies state-to-state) I don't know anything about those online checks that people pay for... but it would be completely bizarre if they didn't require the birth date!! I can't even fathom them running a background check company without needing that info. They may not have advertised that you needed a birth date on their website, but it had to be on the form they had you fill out..
