@jewelrybydawn wrote: Well after much searching, I DID find a perfect one.  It is simple to use, has the ability to import orders and best of all - it's FREE.  I've used it the past 2 days and I love it.  It's pirateship.  Just google "ship packages with pirate ship".  I tried to put the link in here but it didn't go to the right page.    There you go!  Happy shipping!  Well, it isn't perfect but it definitely has advantages over PP MOS. First advantage, not Paypal. Second- I can use any name I want as the "Ship from" and as a coin dealer it is nice not to have my business name plastered on the label tempting curious postal workers. 3rd, I can use any of the USPS shipping options- PP does not have Regional Flat Rate or Cubic Flat Rate. 4th- you get Commercial Plus Priority rates, which are cheaper than Commercial Priority rates available through PP.   I like that they have no service fees, unlike signing up for Endicia, Stamps.com or Shippingeasy.com (Shipping Easy does have a free option, but only 50 labels a month and no spreadsheet uploads- you have to pay $29 a month to get those features).   Big disadvantage- uploads are limited to a single class of mail. You can upload First Class Package shipments with different weights in one batch, but if you want some to have Signature Confirmation you need to upload those separately. Same with Priority Mail- you can upload only Flat Rate Envelopes, Flat Rate Small Boxes or Flat Rate Envelope with Signature Confirmation in one batch. So on a typical shipping day I may have to do as many as 6 different uploads. Still faster than manually entering each label on PP MOS.   I have been communicating with Pirate Ship, they are fast to respond and very helpful in getting me set up. They plan on implementing single spreadsheet uploads with all different service options, but it is a few months from being ready.   Thank you for sharing your discovery, started using Pirate Ship on Friday and I think I will be using them for everything except for items paid for with Paypal.   Mark ... You can block international payments- quite easy.   Click on the gear symbol upper right of Summary page. Click on Profile and Settings In the box on the left click My Selling Tools In the second section down find Block Payments, click Update First item: Allow payments sent to me in a currency I do not hold: Click NO Then down the bottom: Block payments from users who:  Have non-U.S. PayPal accounts Check the box.   Click Save, you are good to go!   Mark   ... Re: Paypal Multiorder shipping

Technically you are right, what Paypal implemented doesn't stop us from creating labels, but they made it more difficult. What I was mainly referring to was the ability to upload CSV files with the information for multiple customers instantly, that function has been removed. And you are correct, the new MOS is much less intuitive and much more work even for labels that originate from Paypal.   I believe I will still call and demand that they restore this, but I do fear it is pointless. I will be evaluating Endecia, Shipping Easy and Stamps.com to see which works best. And raising my shipping charges.   Mark ... View more

Posted this on the "About Payments" forum-   I was told by a less than useless (ie helpful) CS person that the decision to eliminate the CSV uploads was because their agreement with Pitney Bowes is only for sales generated using Paypal to pay for the sale. So even though they had (for 8+ years) allowed us to upload data to print other labels (for sales paid by mailed in check, merchant credit card account or whatever) it was not technically something they were supposed to do.   So it won't matter how much complaining you do, it isn't going to be restored.   What **bleep** me off (apart from now having to open an account at Endicia) is that I do subscription sales and I don't even get an option to print a shipping label for those payments made with Paypal. It is like they think all subscriptions are for some kind of electronic goods (newsletter etc) and not for a physical item that can be mailed.   These guys are forcing me to change how I do my business, and I hate change. Especially when it costs me money and requires I do more work. ... View more

It has been this way for over 6 months. Paypal is not exactly motivated to fix it.   Workaround is to click "Classic view of transaction details" at the bottom of the page, there you will find a link to create a shipping label.   Hopefully they will fix it before the Classic view goes away. But don't count on it. ... View more

Beaten my head against that wall also. I asked multiple CSRs about it, and the answer is retarded- "It is to protect the customer from fraudulent increases".   "But the customer is the one wanting to increase it by $xxx, so why shouldn't he be able to?"   "That's the policy! **bleep** you!" (ok, I made up the last part, but that's the attitude)   Your only choice is to tell the customer to cancel the existing subscription and sign up for the new amount. Sucks, but there is no workaround.   ... View more

You have 2 issues.   1) Any money coming in to a business account is going to be subject to the 2.9% plus the $0.30 fee. So money from friends needs to go to a personal account ideally (no fees).   2) 1099-K report will include all receipts to a business account. However there is no requirement to reconcile your 1099-K to your actual sales (unless you get audited of course). The real purpose to issuing a 1099-K is to let the IRS know you have some income, if your Paypal 1099 shows $25,000 but you say you only had $10,000 in total sales, count on being asked some pointed questions. But if like me your business receipts are much higher than your Paypal receipts (less than 14% of my sales are paid with Paypal) then there is no harm in making your tax return reflect reality, and if by some awful luck you get the full line-by-line audit (unlikely) then you may be asked to explain differences between your 1099 and what you say was Paypal business related transactions.   Ultimately it is simpler to just have another Paypal account, with a different email, linked bank account and credit cards. I do, and my personal account is used about 3 times a year, for actual dealings with friends and family. ... View more

I had something similar, but closing the MOS window and re-opening it fixed it.   Make sure you don't have some element being blocked by a script-blocker or something (I use uBlock and had to whitelist everything related to Paypal).   The new MOS will not allow importing. If that is a feature you depend on, call Paypal and add your voice to the complaints. I was told that Paypal has decided to remove this feature, because they don't want us using shipping for non-Paypal transactions. In other words, the feature was removed deliberately, it was not an oversight. ... View more
