It didn't work. I used a different email address, used the debit card, and no email was sent. I was, however, sent an email at my regular email address (from paypal) alerting me that my primary email address had changed. I reset the primary email address to be my regular email address. I deleted the new email address from my account. I unchecked the options to send notifications, I saved it, then I re-checked the option to send me notifications when my debit card is used, and saved it again. Maybe it will work now, but I doubt it. It seems like a lot of hassle to do something very simple. Paypal tech support is not helping me.
