I have a similar situation and am interested in the resolution. Kmart.com didn't complete the order giving the message "We're sorry, we are unable to process the Pay Pal information online at this time.Please enter another form of payment to proceed online." Unfortunately, I tried again and got the same error. Now I have multiple "pending" transactions for Kmart.com that I cannot cancel. I have emailed Kmart's customer service but haven't gotten a response yet (and if their customer service is as good as their order processing system, I probably never will).
