Alright,.. Finally. After nearly 5 months, I've won my Paypal claim for a mere $15 (which the buyer tried to scam from me). However, I have already since been required to pay a $20 fee to Paypal for all of this. I thought the person who lost the claim was required to pay the fee? I find it ridiculous that I've won my claim, and I've still lost $5.. ... View more

I now found that I can still refund him... If I were to refund him, would the $20 fee go away? I'm just sick of this..  ... View more

After reading some more threads, I think I may just not ever use Paypal again. I've read tons of threads, and read too many stories now to feel safe using Paypal. I guess I can see how there is no proof that I even gave him anything, but where is his proof that I didn't!? Why does he get priority over me.. ... View more

About a month ago, I sold some intangible goods to someone online, and almost immediately after receiving the money, it gets put on hold because the buyer filed an "Unauthorized" claim. At this point, he is attempting to scam me. I provide as many details as I can (apart from a few screenshots), and I also make sure to point out that I sold him intangible goods, and that I even gave him the goods before the party even gave me their payment. After a short while, I won the claim. And again, almost immediately,  an "Unauthorized payment" claim was made. I thought we already did this? I sent in as much info as possible. I also made sure to emphasize that they were intangible goods, which the buyer indeed still was in possession of. It seemed as if ages had passed, and nothing had changed. The money was STILL on hold. Then yesterday, I receive an e-mail saying:     The sender's card company has reversed the charges for this payment. We have placed a temporary hold on the disputed funds until this matter is resolved. If the card company decides the case in your favor, the funds will be available in your PayPal account.   I then proceeded to login to my Paypal account to find that not only has the case been closed, but the funds are not on hold anymore, they are gone.To top things off, I have to pay a $20 fee, and now my account is in negative credit. (As I keep most of my money in my bank account.) So let's recap everything that's happened so far. I sold some online goods, I get the money taken from me, I have to pay a $20 fee, and I've lost the goods that I've sold. (Oh, and the goods even cost LESS than the fee itself!)  Now, I was already angry with loosing my money and the goods, let alone PAYING for that to happen. But here is where I'm even more confused... is the case still open? Is the case closed? On the resolution center, it says that it is indeed closed. In the case details, it also says "Funds recovered from Seller", but also says that they are Disputing on my Behalf? And it also says the case is on Step 8, and that their credit card company is reviewing the information. But yet, it says closed? I'm very confused here. I don't have much experience with Paypal, but so far, I'm not having a very good one. Please help..  I really wouldn't be too upset if I lost my goods + the money I would have received,... but the fact that I'm having the pay a fee costing around 130% of the cost of my goods is what really is getting me frustrated. I'm not sure what I should do at this point. For now, I decided I would just post this here. Providing someone with hard-earned goods, only to end up loosing money is really discouraging me from doing any further online business. And again, any sort help is appreciated..  ... View more
