Re: Paypal telling respected seller to feel free to close their account and take their business elsewhere - Paypal knows that as the ONLY online payment company "approved" (which equals "owned by") EBAY, there is no where else to go.  They have scared the casual ebay buyer into thinking that they must use Paypal to get protection.  This assures that sellers have to put up with Paypal policies.  What a wicked loop they have so finely created.   Paypal has grossly underestimated the professionalism of the majority of Ebay Sellers and their pride in making sure that sales are properly delivered.  I am so offended after having 100% positive and more than 1000 feebacks in the last ten years to have my account held.  We are your bread and butter and you seem to be making sure all buyers are covered but totally forgetting your other client, the seller.    We need our money to do our job so how bout you give it back!!!!! ... Thank you very much for the idea to contact the FTC.gove on this clear violation of account holders rights.  I am an upstanding Ebay and Paypal seller for more than 10 years.  At the busiest time of my year, Paypal informed me that they would be holding my funds.  I also ended up unable to retrieve the shipping portion of buyer payments to send their packages.    Also, BEWARE long time UPS account users on Paypal, when entering a new street address to where I'd moved, Paypal tech representatives suggested I "un link" and relink my UPS account to their site when it wouldn't work.  DO not do this!  It is their way of making it impossible to link directly to your long term UPS account.  They want you to have to go through them so they get their cut!    Does anyone else remember how the shipping aspect of Paypal was touted as a service to help sellers and buyers?  Well mr. nice guy has disappeared now that everyone is using this helpful linking option and Paypal is pulling out all of the stops to make sure that you WILL PAY THEM to link to the UPS and USPS websites.    I'm sure both this hold of funds for account holders with excellent histories and this monopoly on linking to shipping sites with pre-filled information is illegal!  After all, what are we paying almost 15% of our sales to Ebay and Paypal for?    Peeved in Paypal land.  WRITE THE FTC!!!! ...
