I originally used paypal buttons for customers to purchase my products, however, I eventually switched to Mal's e because paypal doesn't offer the option for coupons/discount codes and mal's e does.  On the other hand, Mal's e does not offer code for "quantity in stock" so that when one or more of my products are purchased, it's reflected on my site.  If paypal offered the option for discount codes, I would switch back or if mal's e had "qty in stock" code, for me, it would be complete.  Whats the hold up paypal?  I started my business over ten years ago and asked about discount codes then.  Each time I was told that it's being worked on.  Again, Whats the hold up paypal?   ... I wish I had found this forum before I applied for and received the ebay credit card in today's mail.  My credit score took a 6 point hit for this credit card.  Though one person finally received the $30 credit after 4 months and numerous calls, for me, this card is not worth the hassle.   I also stumbled across another site that talked about ebay's credit card being among the worst when it comes to their rewards program.  I then called ebay to let them know about the complaints in this forum and their lousy rewards program, to which the CSR had nothing to say, and that I would not activate the card but instead, cut it and throw it away, which I've done.  ... Which button for a single item?

Hi,   I have a website where I am selling various items, however, there is only one of each item.  Once something sells, I have no more.  My predicament is if a customer purchases that one item, I have to immediately remove that item from my website after it sells.  However, if it's the middle of the night and I'm asleep, or out, or whatever, and another customer comes along and uses that same "Add to Cart" button before I have a chance to remove that item from my website, the sale will go through as if the item is still available.  This has happened and of course, I have always sent a full refund when the item was no longer available.  However, now that paypal charges a fee for refunds, I am forced to pay a fee simply because I issue a refund for an item that is no longer available.  I have searched paypal and did not see an option to limit buttons so that once it is used the first time, there is a message saying "this item is no longer available".  I would really appreciate your suggestions on how to limit purchases to one item once the "Add to Cart" button is clicked.  Thank you. ... Re: Shipping Fees

Shipping fees are less if you pay online, including if you use the USPS website.  Just print out the label, attach it to your box and drop it off at the PO.  If you're shipping Priority Mail, the PO will pick it up.  As for ebay, I had an issue in the past with their shipping calculator and since then, I don't use their calculator.  Instead, I determine a flat/standard shipping fee that is enough to cover shipping/packing whether the item is shipped across town or across the country so that I don't get stuck paying for part of the shipping because of an error with ebay's calculator.  I don't ship internationally so that fee is not an issue for me.  If you do a lot of selling through ebay and a lot of shipping, you're much better off getting your own scale and printer to weigh your packages and print your labels.   Paying for shipping online is less expensive (mentioned above) and you're also saving on gas and your time to drive back and forth from the PO.  ... Refund Fee - Unbelievable!

Why is paypal penalizing sellers by charging a fee for sellers who refund a buyer's payment because the buyer changes their mind.  As if there aren't enough paypal fees already!  Excuse me, but this is nothing but a rip off by paypal.  Any suggestions on paypal alternatives that aren't taking advantage of their customers? ...
