@Watchout: Thanks for the tips ! I will take them into consideration for the future ! @Olivia: Not meant to be rude, but the item was _never_ever_shipped. The package never got lost, because it was _not_ shipped. The tracking number is _not_working and I never received the item, nor did my neighbors, aunts, uncles, unborn sister, dog, or cat.   I live in a very small village. If I fart, everybody knows about it so if there was a package for me delivered at my neighbors, I'm pretty sure they would have delivered to me as soon I would get home. I order a lot of stuff on the internet and when I'm not at home, they do indeed get delivered by my neighbors. That has been working well for me for the past 4 years because the items were _shipped_, but since this item never was _shipped_, my neighbors never got a package so they can't give it to me.   I still can not believe that PayPal did not check the trackingnumber. In the future, I will also supply random trackingnumbers, since they don't get checked anyways ! Want a tracking number ? Here ya go: 549416AKP44. Carrier: BSPost.   I think this case is closed. PayPal obviously doesn't want to recognize they made a mistake (by not checking if the tracking number was valid) and I will never see my money back. Hey no problem ! It was that exact amount, but then converted into euros. PayPal automatically withdraws the  money from my bank account, after I make a payment with PayPal.   Sadly banks here in The Netherlands aren't very cooperative with these situations at all. They just say: That's not our problem, deal it with. We did our job: We transferred your money to the person you asked us to. Have a nice day. So I have all my hopes on PayPal. ... View more

Thanks for your reply, Olivia.   I already filed for an appeal.   The outcome after 14 days was exactly the same: Since the seller had provided a VALID tracking number, I should have received the item, so he was right.   Is it normal that PayPal doesn’t check tracking numbers, even when filing an appeal ? ... The escrow service of AliExpress is complete bull**bleep**. The guy already got the money before the package was even sent. That makes no sense at all, but AliExpress.com's customer service is really bad too. They hardly speak any decent English and all you get are automated replies.   Yes, I left negative feedback for the transaction and I even opened a dispute on their own website, but the 'mediator team' only replied 'we are investigating this issue' and 1 MONTH later they mailed: 'do you still need help?' and thats all I ever heard from them. ...
