I had the same problem. I reached out to the person, they told me they refunded it and then cancelled the refund the next day. I argued with PP saying Venmo and Zelle have a 2 time verification before the money is sent to make sure you are sending to the correct person. They didnt care. The bank couldnt do anything. I am unfortunately taking a big loss , but will be cancelling my PP account that has been open for many years. Shame on PP for not taking better care of their customers. Shame on PP for not having a verification check before the money is sent. I was off by one letter in the email address. Im so upset. and PP said oh well, pay attention the next time. I wish I could get this out to more PP customers to cancel their accounts.
