So I'm getting Paypal invitations and offers but my email box is just overflowing right now and they are part of the clutter I need to do with out for a while... I hit the unsubscribe - get the confirmation interface and I'm done... wrong! A day later, another offer --- hmmm, I hit the unsubscribe link again -- and read the entire page this time... "It will take 10 days to remove your name." (or something to that effect). 10 days? So the cleaning lady only comes in every other Friday and she has to manually delete anyone wanting to unsubscribe? Either Paypal has inferior programming or they have made a deliberate choice to laddle extra helpings of SPAM on you before you go... "No, thank you sir. I don't want another". I don't have time to review the privacy policy but I wonder if my hitting that unsubscribe button I've just given them permission to sell my email address to that Nigerian banking cartel.... hmm, free money for just a few numbers from my bank -- maybe I'll come out ahead 🙂 Do you think Paypal could/should do better? Can they reduce that waiting period to 5 days? How about 2 days ? How about 1 day?
