"Although I realise this issue may be frustrating for all of you, it isn't possible at this time for a customer to change the country that their PayPal account is registered in." It is patently clear that this is not what anyone has been asking. "It is also possible to register any financial information to a PayPal account when the financial details originate from a different country." Have you missed a negative here? If not, can you explain how to do this please? As far as I understand, the "financial details" Paypal is interested in are those of the bank being used. Well Lloyds, Barclays and many others are based in the UK. The account itself is based in the UK. The details of the account need to match up with those held by the bank, and nothing else; if Lloyds hold a different mailing address for me, that's between them and I, it's nothing to do with paypal anymore than if my house number is odd or even. Frankly, I don't think this is a matter of security or anything else, it's just the form is not built correctly and restricts this option because no-one foresaw this scenario. You could probably change it with very little effort, and save plenty of us the hassle of having to find an alternative payment method. To support this argument, anyone reading this thread should just try using their old address in the UK. The process still goes through, for both my cards. The only verification here is that the address "looks" like a UK address. So much for security.
