I purchased an item on eBay, but never received it. About 2 weeks after I paid for it got an email from eBay saying that the seller's listing for the same item I purchased had been removed because it violated their policies in some ways. I assumed the seller had been scamming people so I opened a case through eBay. Immediately after I opened the case I realized the seller's account had been deleted. Since they would have no incentive to reply to me as they no longer had an eBay account, I closed the case through eBay and decided disputing it through PayPal directly would make more sense. However, I then discovered that I couldn't open a dispute using the PayPal resolution center because I apparently still had an open case through eBay, even though I closed the case immediately after opening it. I emailed PayPal twice (the first time was 11 days ago) asking how I can dispute the payment and receieve a refund, but have yet to see a response. This seller was clearly scamming people, eBay shut their account down/they deleted it themselves, it's a black and white case but I have no way of opening a dispute using the resolution center. How can I receive a refund? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
