I think that Paypal user's against this hold policy definitely need to file a class action lawsuit. If I were an attorney, I'd file it myself. We NEED to get a petition to present to a lawyer and actually do something about this. I have seen hundreds of these complaints, but without taking action, paypal will continue to use our money for as long as they can. It's very impressive that you know what a paragraph is, as any fifth grader should. And the spell check remark, brilliant. You must be one of those people who laugh at, and make fun of mentally challenged people. Nice. Hope you are smart enough to note the sarcasm. You probably work for Paypal too. Grow up.   I did not rep;y to thisposting for that reason though. I have written several posts on this problem because I think it's wrong for any type of broker to hold funds. Can you imagine your bank telling you that they were going to put a hold on any purchases from your business, until they were told by your customer that they were completely satisfied with the transaction. It's total BS.   My latest experience with paypal was not bad. I thought it was going to a real hassle getting my money anytime soon. I also thought about not shipping the item until the funds were cleared, but I shipped it the next day, and surprisingly, the buyer received the item 2 days later. Fortunately, the buyer was an honest person, with  100% positive reviews on ebay, and Paypal cleared my funds within a couple of hours after receiving the positive review. So they really only kept it on hold for about 4 days. You have to be fortunate enough to have an honest buyer though,  otherwise you're going to be waiting a long time to get paid.   The only thing I can suggest is to check out the buyers reviews, because obviously Paypal doesn't. I still believe that this hold policy is bias to the seller, but it doesn't seem like this policy is going to change, and if sellers hold shipments, the funds won't ever clear. I have been following this topic for a few months now, and have seen hundreds of these posts. Unfortunately ebay owns Paypal, and unless Paypal customers actually do something about this hold policy it is not going to change. This policy is meant to make sure buyers get what they paid for. This policy is bias to the seller. Any buyer can easily say that the item they received what not what they expected, or that the item was damaged. They can say whatever they want to get out of paying for the items they bought. Who is Paypal to make the judgement that sellers are unscrupulous and buyers aren't. It's total crap. They simply want to use sellers money for as long as they can. I know nothing about organizing something to make Paypal drop this ridiculous policy, be something has to be done about this. I totally agree with that. Shipping charges have to come out of my pocket every time I sell something, then I have to wait 21 days for them to transfer funds. Then it takes 3 business days to clear into my bank. Paypal is a financial service, they have no business as arbitrators between buyers and sellers. So, next time I sell something, the buyer can call Paypal to ask where their items are. The answer will be that the seller is waiting for Paypal to clear the funds. ... View more

I am defifinately not using Ebay or Paypal anymore. The only way I will ever use either of them again, is if PayPal gets rid of this BS policy, or Ebay starts offering payment alternatives. In my opinion, PayPal alreadt took too long to transfer fund to my bank account. Three days to do a wire transfer is ridiculous enough, now they want to USE other people's money to make interest on. This hold policy is totally ridiculous. It's not PayPal's business if an ebay customer has a problem with a seller. That;s EBay's problem. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason for this hold policy, especially if a seller has never had a bad review and no complaints. I hardly ever sell on Ebay, but the one thing I did sell ( An Amazon Kindle ) the buyer loved. He wrote me a message thanking me for the timely shipping and the excellent condition of the item. The very next day, PayPal alerts me that they are going to start holding my money for 21 days after each sale. They don't like it when you transfer your funds into your bank account immediately. The fact is that they are Greedy and want to make as much interest on your money as they can. You shouldn't have to "waste your time" calling PayPal to get your money every time you sell something. And it is wasting your time. That comment about it not being important is ridiculous. Getting your money is IMPORTANT, but you should NOT have to call them every time you sell something. Especially if you have never received a bad review, always ship on time and have had no complaints on your products.
