I purchased an item through ebay which ultimately ended up being fake - I didn't realise that you could make a claim through Paypal. Paypal are now telling me that the onus is on me to prove the item is fake EVEN though the ebay correspondence between myself and the seller blatently shows the seller admitting to selling the fake and posting it up as authentic. I don't understand why I have to fork out more money to get my money back in the first place? I'm not sure how that's really fair considering it's pretty obvious from the correspondence that the seller admitted it . Paypal say they can't use that as evidence - but i have not been shown ANYWHERE in the terms and conditions of using paypal that that's the requirement...
