@gegeorge ~ With regard to your updated comment, the problem for me isn't that they no longer track the codes and usage nearly so much as that they changed their practice without notice.  It's one thing to keep track of how YOU use a gift card, but now how is there any way to find out how your card was used if the balance is lower than you expected it to be (e.g. PayPal took too much, double-charged both your GC and CC -- it has happened frequently, didn't refund properly for a return)?  It's akin to your bank suddenly saying they'll no longer provide detailed statements and will only tell you what your balance is without any real way to find out where your money went if the balance isn't as expected.   Again, had they never offered this, no sweat.  But they DID offer it and as such people depended on it, with no reason to believe they shouldn't and no indication that this feature might be removed.  When they suddenly took it away without any notice whatsoever, without even communicating it after the fact, it left many people feeling abandoned and upset.  This significantly reduces the way I'll use eBay gift cards, since I've had multiple instances of balances either being removed improperly (double-charging the GC and my CC, as mentioned) or not refunded after a return. ... @gegeorge, did you even bother reading the end of this thread? PayPal stopped tracking these codes a month and a half ago. The stuff you mentioned is covered repeatedly earlier in the conversation. The PayPal page only contains codes used prior to the beginning of March. The eBay balance check is only good if you know all your codes. ... View more

Am I the only one for whom active codes are no longer showing up anywhere -- not on the "classic" page described here, not in my wallet, not during checkout/payment using the eBay app, etc.?  The old link was working and tracking codes as I used them as recently as a couple weeks ago, I believe, but in the past few days I've used a handful of new codes, some of which I know still have balances, but none of them shows up in the list, neither as active nor depleted, nor do they appear in my wallet, eBay app at payment time, etc.   In addition to the problem of active codes not showing up, it's no longer tracking ANY usage as far as I can tell, and I have a couple codes that I don't recall using that are showing no balance but since they're not showing up in the list of redemption codes I can't even check to see if/when/on what they were used.   This is both very uncool and quite disturbing, since I relied heavily on this to ensure I used the balance on all my codes. ...
