Ok, I sold an item to a guy in Seattle. He paid me with Paypal, a total of 76.00, 5 of which went to the post office for shipping leaving me a total of 71.00 in my paypal account. This transaction was on nov 20th. A week later The customer emailed me, and said the part was bad, I was out of town that week for Thanksgiving, wasnt able to reply to him until nov 1st. I contacted him on nov 2, and issued a full refund of 76.00. Now instead of taking "His" money out of my Paypal account for the Refund, They took the full 76.00 out of my bank account, which overdrafted me 3 times for a cost of 105.00 in Overdraft penalties. I called and asked why they didnt pay him back with "His" money then kick in the extra 5.00 thats needed from my bank account, she said its either all or nothing when it comes to refunds. I asked her what the point using paypal is if they just hang on to the buyers money no matter what and make money off it via intrest? Then I asked her about my overdrafts because of them taking the 76 out of my bank account, she said "I am sorry we cannot reimburse you for that." So I get dicked. The whole point of paypal is buyer protection, If I buy a product, and it is not what it was described I should get "My" Money back. I understand that. But as a seller, when I sell a product, and the customer has a valid arguement about the product he should get "His" money back, not my money from my personal account. I guess I dont know where to go from here, I am extremely angry with Paypal and will never use it again. If anyone has advice please let me know at Tlonto@yahoo.com Thank ou F Ebay F Paypal Craigslist all the way.
