Are you against getting a bank account? Most banks only require between $5-50 to start an account with them and some places are entirely free. Try to see if you can get into a credit union though if possible because they are a lot better in terms of customer service, interest rates, and benefits. ... View more

You got off easy man, paypal has charged me $28+ three times the past few days for the same item that was unpaid. When I login to my bank account it's listed as "unpaid item fee." What's frustrating, aside from the fact that I had enough money in my account to cover what I bought in the first place but somehow was charged late, is that I deposited a personal check into my bank account yesterday and if the check is over $500 it takes two days to clear. They do give $100 of that to use to begin with though which is nice, but the funds that would have gone to pay for the item instead went to the near $90 in "unpaid item fees." I suppose that they would continue trying to withdraw money from your account indefinitely to rack up a huge bill for their customers.
