Hello, you really don't know if the buyer is dishonest. Someone could of stole the item from his door or mail box.  I was sharp enough, because of problems I had years ago, when I asked the post office about this. The post office is a rip off  for taking your money for insurance, without a signature. Once they leave the package outside they are free from any theft. It sounds to me that the only thing you could do is make a post on the same Craigs list catagory and warn people. I would keep posting it . But then again no returns are very commen with an internet purchase. Your case is bad goods though. It is possible that they didnt know, but that isnt  helping you much. Hello, if I understand correctly, You are the seller right. This has happened to me more than once,  selling on Craigs list. I am new to paypal, so these scammers must have records to new people who sign up some how. I wanted to know if there is a safe way to make a transaction like this, if it was for real. I am new to this, but I am not stupid, but I was scammed once with my unemployment bank card. They actually sent me an tex messaage,  with a really good sounding legitimate fake agency that took my information on reactivating my card. This was a class A fraud, I fell for it, but then I changed my account number before any money was stolen. I can't believe all this dishonest stuff going on.
