I have been going around and around with paypal's so called customer service. I'm beyond frustrated. I'm open to suggestions. On Oct 21 someone purchased something from me off ebay using a best offer of $13.99. I received 2 payments from them for the 1 item. Idential payments for the same ebay item number showed in my paypal account page. I refunded one payment figuring it was an error. I called paypal that day and asked if I did the right thing. They assured me I did, "Not a problem". I shipped the item. Several days later I received a phish email from an email address that the forum won't allow me to type informing me that the $13.99 payment I received was done in error and paypal would be reversing it. I called paypal they assured me it was a phish and not to worry about it. I said "Even though they knew the exact amount of the payment?" They said don't worry. I forwarded the email to paypal. On November 9th the remaining payment was reversed. My account is now in the negative. The money is not a lot, but it is the principle of the thing, and it is about trust. I have had repeated conversations with paypal about this. They claimed ebay reversed it and sent me back to ebay. Ebay knows nothing about it and sent me back to Paypal. One Paypal CSR took a look and said "Huh, I can't tell who reversed it. We'll look into this." I called today and got sent directly to collections! All the drone on the other end of the line could say was ebay did it, just pay the amount. Now I'M REALLY **bleep**. You send my phone call straight to collections person for something you can't even explain and then brush me off with attitude? What happened to customer service? Why do you have customer service people if they're useless? Have you been hacked paypal and you're covering it up. Please explain what the hell happened.
