I recently sold two items on Ebay. When selling them this ebay thing popped up saying something like sign in and register your paypal. I did and it figured it just wanted to confirm that it was MY paypal so I typed my password in. Later on I figured out this actuallly created a new paypal account and is sending all my money there. This would be so bad but its sending all of it to an email that I can no longer access (a verizon one and we no longer have verizon). I've messaged the buyers saying they should retract the payment and resend it to my account. Is their anything I need to do to ensure that I will get my money.
