Yeah, its a scam. I got a similar email saying that it was a gift for his daughter and was willing to  pay almost $100 just for shipping. But that he needed the tracking number first then paypal would release my funds.    One of the email i got.....   I have just make the payment online now so i want you to ship the phone immediately to this address below and also as i have said before that i will also make an extra $100 for the shipment cost.......so i want you to ship the phone through USPS Post office and make it second day delivery ok.... ... Yes this is a scam. I was selling my phone and the guy said his daughter loved it so he offered me double of what i was asking for. So he said he was going to pay me my money through paypal but that he needed to tracking number first then my funds would be released. Hello-   im selling my phone on craigslist, and i also got a similar email, saying that they were out of the state and could not meet me in person so they wanted to use paypal- and said they would pay $200 for the phone and shipping. i was only asking $100 for my phone! Well they said that they would pay me asap. And later on received an email saying that they put money in my paypal account but that i needed to provide paypal with my shipping info. Wich is true. Well usually it shows on your paypal summary, this time it didnt. I called paypal to verify the payment i received, but they paypal could verify anything. But the email i got from them seemed authentic like paypals but it was phony one. So be careful, and like paypal says- it better to meet in person. So it might be the same person, just waiting to get your item and send you a phony email. Saying paypal is holding your money. Be careful and good luck! ... View more
