Hi, I recently sold a graphics card to someone I met on Reddit for $300. They paid me on PayPal, at which time I was asked to provide information about my business. I don't have a business, I just sold something I own to someone else, like taking payment on eTransfer. I could give my receipts and mailing info, but I have no business information, I just have a personal account and don't know why my account was flagged as a business account in the first place. I have had the account for many years without issues, using it very casually and only sometimes taking payments from people. I was angry and said some angry things to an agent, but I'm sorry because honestly I was just frustrated that no one was recognizing my issue and just kept asking for business information. I wish someone had just cleared up the issue and recognized that the account was just an individual personal account. I have been banned for my angry comments and I'm sorry, but I sincerely wish someone had clarified what was going on with my account and why I was being asked for business information in the first place. Was I not allowed to take a payment of that size? Was it flagged because of who I was selling my graphics card to? I thought using PayPal was similar to eTransfer, but I don't know if I made a mistake and just wanted a simple explanation and some help. All I received was repeated automatic messages asking for business information. I wish a real human would have intervened and cleared up the mess. I hope that I can get my account unbanned because I like to have PayPal for USD payment interactions and just as a general source of being able to pay for goods online. I'm sorry again for my words and hope someone can help me.
