Hi Sean,   Once the paypal gets updated, your wife's paypal balance will be 500. She can transfer that 500 back to her bank acount. While when your own paypal gets updated, you will recieve 500 from her bank transfer that goes directly towards your paypal balance. It seems like the balance is gradually updating, for those who have made transactions over 3 hours. The balance should be updated. For those who have recently made transactions below the 3 hours timeframe, the balance won't be updated until another hour so. Paypal services seems to be running but very slowly going through transaction backlogs and updating balances and so it's not instant update at this moment. Don't worry! It's not lost, it's just a technical issue on their side. Once everything is restored, our balances will be restored as well. We'll just have to be patient and wait! (And hopefully not too long) ... View more

Same! I have been using Paypal for donkey years and this is the first I've ever encountered this, I have an important group event tomorrow and I hope to get the funds at least by tonight! Let's all hope everybody gets their balances too asap! ... View more
