I am having a very similar probelm with Scribd, but my situation is complicated by: PayPal shows absolutely no record of any activity with Scribd (so there are no transactions to dispute with PayPal), PayPal does not list Scribd as an Authorized Subscription (either active or inactive), so I can't cancel the subscription through PayPal, PayPal is billing my personal checking account monthly $11.99 for Scribd. I've been fighting with Scribd for weeks!  They keep asking me for the same information over & over, none of which I have since I never opened the account or authorized any payment.  I've sent them screen shots of everything I have (monthly transactions in my checking account, PayPal activity log & PayPal ID), but still they swear they can't find an account to me & still I am paying them every month.   I didn't even notice the account being billed to my checking account for 3 months and I've been fighting with Scribd for another 3 months, so I'm out for these monthly payments since April totalling $67!  And it's not just the money ... it's the frustration & time wasted on getting this resolved!! Thank you for this detailed process.  I was able to find the "preapproved payments" as you described BUT the company (scribd.com) that keeps billing me each month is not listed in either the active or the inactive list.  They are a complete ghost.    I have no records of ever opening the account with Scribd.  I can not log in to any supposed account. Scribd has not been able to find an account for me.   PayPal shows no record of anything with Scribd.  But yet each month my checking account is billed through PayPal for this Scribd account.  I can't dispute the transactions through PayPal (because PayPal has no recorded transactions to dispute).  I can't cancel the subscriprion with PayPal (because there is no subscription listed to cancel).     I disputed the most recent transaction with my bank (checking account which is ultimately being billed) & they did reverse that one charge.  I am now requesting that the other 6 monthly transactions from Scribd via PayPal be reversed.  But how do I stop this from being billed again & again each month?     Any thoughts?   Thank you in advance!   ...
