I landed on a page that said help Paypal, click to call now and a phone number Welcome to Paypal Custumer service I did not see that the https link said https://sites.google.com/view/womens-v-neck-cable/home?gad_source=1 obviously not paypal on closer look! The person spoke with a foreign accent and asked for my name, email, phone number. Then instead of addressing my issue, he informed me that my account had been hacked, there were attempts to log in from russia and china. He told me I had to create a secure login from my smart phone. When I said I only used paypal from my laptop with my yubico key, he insisted I set up my smart phone instead to create a secure connection with paypal, at which point I became suspicious and left the conversation. Seeing the link after the fact, I believe I was fooled into calling a phone number which leads people to have their security information stolen. How can I inform Paypal that a Google search for paypal assistance lead me to this fraudulent page. Unfortunately I could not get through the phone number I received with my paypal gift order to call to get assistance with a google play gift -- it had a busy tone - and that led me to seek further for a number to call and I ended up calling a fraudulent number. I would like others to know of those fraudulent paypal looking customer service pages. And I wonder if there is more I can do to protect myself from sharing the information I did, name, email, phone number. This has been a lesson in how not to interact with paypal.
