I could not agree more this is really a stupid business practice if it is not changed PDQ I will cease to use E BAY and paypal altogether I know my 10, 000 doesn't amount to much in the scheme of things so Paypal likely does not care. I believe this practice is nothing less than a dishonest attempt to force a credit card on it's customers. I make it a practice to avoid doing business with folks who use strong arm tactics. I certainly will not trust my personal banking information to folks who attempt to use such unsavory business practices. @stockie wrote: Paypal just notified me that I have spent $10,000 on paypal so now they want to "verify me" through access to my bank account.. I don't understand. So, I have spent alot of money and paid for it all, not owing anybody anything and now they need my bank account info. to Verify Me??? Shouldn't they have done that at $10 not $10,000? And if I don't want to give them my bank info. I am required to get their credit card? It seems to me that if I have spent $10,000 without a problem that I already proved myself a reliable buyer! And that's not the whole of it. Once I give them my info., that becomes my default payment unless I go in and manually change it every transaction. I feel like I am being punished for using them so often. I don't want my bank account to be my default payment. I want my same credit card that I have been using for a long time to continue to be my default payment. Does anyone know what's up with this???
