From Gregory [removed], Hi, I received a suspicious call, here is what happened. Got a call fro[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]Warning Scam Alert! The latest scam is you answering the phone, the caller asks if this is 'your name', you answer "Yes", then they hang up. Why? Because it is a voice capture, then the scammer gets credit cards and/or order goods that use voice approval using your name and the recorded "Yes". Using AI Voice, they will imitate your voice. I am aware of this but got caught September 14, 2023. The call came in, ask "Is this Gregory [removed]", I asked who is calling, they played that they didn't hear me and asked again "Is this Gregory [removed]". That is when I fell for it. Once I said "Yes, this is Gregory [removed]", they hung up. I called back asking who they were, and they hung up. Research the number, no name who & address. Internet reported back a lot of scams are associated with [removed]. Now, I must call all my credit cards to alert them about online purchases. Then monitor Paypal for purchases. and credit bureau for any new cards. Please share this, the money you save from thief will be your own, family & friends. Paypal: I have reported this to Los Angeles County Consumer Protection, California AG & FTC Fraud Alert. Also, posted on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter. Thank you for your due diligence in this matter, Gregory [removed]
