About two weeks ago I noticed that both my Paypal and Venmo have been limited and permanently locked form being used ever again for transactions. Never got an email, text, or call about this. I had to find out by logging into one of my accounts. Supposedly I was "violating" something in their terms. I contacted both supports, mainly Paypal, but they're both being very vague and unwilling to help their loyal costumers regarding why this is happening. One guy even stated this happened because he uses a VPN, yes it's dumb. I was never given a warning beforehand nor any indicators that anything I was doing would become a problem. This is part of what the message I received reads: After a review of your account activity, we’ve determined that you’re in violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy. As a result, your account has been permanently limited and you won’t be able to conduct any further business using PayPal. This is permitted under the PayPal User Agreement sections Restricted Activities and Actions We May Take. You must remove all references to PayPal from your website(s) and/or auction(s), including removing PayPal as a payment option, the PayPal logo, and the PayPal shopping cart. I looked all over online and there seems to be a lot of people just like me who got a false positive on their accounts just as I did. And of course Paypal being the great company they are refused to ever elaborate or explained why they're arbitrarily banning people. If I could get some help with this, I would greatly appreciate it please. Anyone know about this and how I can reinstate my account?
