Why are PayPal not honouring the GooglePlay offer: "Spend £5+ through PayPal on GooglePlay, get £10 PayPal reward for any purchase"? I sent PayPal a web chat support query concerning the above, stating that I had seen a GooglePlay payments offer when using my android phone app. NB you see it in the payment settings screen on GooglePlay. I explained that I configured PayPal as a payment option and then used it on a £8.99 game purchase. Payment cleared but no email arrived offering £10 reward. When I contacted PayPal web chat support, they said I needed to give then a link to the offer before they would help with this. I explained I couldn't do that as it was on an Android App but sent a screenshot of it. This was insufficient for them. I then found this https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/spend-ps5-through-paypal-on-google-play-get-ps10-paypal-reward-for-any-purchase-select-accounts-at-paypal-4015019 However, PayPal support said I would then need to take it up with hotukdeals as they were the offer provider. Not true and incredibly poor service. I didn't realise at the time but I found the link to PayPals own site embedded in the above after the chat was over. https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/campaigns/google-play-2022?&clickref=1011lwicJXMU&pid=328130457&dclid=CMPktrn7nvsCFQynUQodJnQIjw Why are PayPal unable to confirm or deny deals that they enter into? Why are PayPal failing to honour these deals? In the end I called PayPal on the phone, and got the offer added having explained the situation again. To be honest I won't use PayPal again now unless I have to - I don't trust them anymore. The customer support I received on the web chat was the worst I have seen in a long time. Thankfully the person who picked up the phone was considerably more helpful and professional.
