I represent a community organization that is under the umbrella of the Philadelphia Police Department. We operate as nonprofit organization but do NOT have a 501(c)3. We conduct fundraisers and allow for donations via PayPal. We pay standard rates. For example, we recently sold raffle tickets. On a $20 raffle ticket purchase we pay a $1.19 fee. The same for straight donations. I was wondering if there is a better option for us than the standard account. I have written PayPal multiple times but their responses make it abundantly clear that they don’t even read the e-mails.
