I Ordered a phone from Hong Kong. Prior to paying I noticed that the shipping address for my PayPal account was not my current address. It was an address I used one time 3 years ago while traveling. So I used the feature and scrolled to my current address. The Shipping window indicated the desired address and I paid for and completed the order. About an hour later I received an email from the seller with a tracking number. I immediately clicked the link. Only to discover that the phone was going to the wrong address. I contacted the seller immediately. I was told that the phone would be returned to them and upon its receipt by the Seller I would receive a full refund. I was bummed. Really needed the phone. But it is what it is. Next day I got a bright Idea. I will order another phone (same model) from the same seller, receive that phone in four days and have a phone. And in a couple weeks get my refund. No harm no foul. Well for the remainder of that day and early into the next no tracking number for my recent order. I email the seller. What's going on? Why no tracking number? She replied back and tells me, without any consultation before hand with me;. She decided to contact the shipper and have them forward the phone from my first order (headed to the wrong address) and have that phone forwarded to my correct address. And that she didn't ship the phone (my second order to the right address) because she wanted to use that to bankroll any funds required to forward the phone from the original order to my current and correct address. And once fine she would refund me what remained after paying for the forwarding. That cost was not specified or known. Now things are getting funky. She is now, in my view holding hostage my second order to pay for the first order. I'm,m not happy about that. But what can you do right? This chick hardly writes English and I have to use my magic decider ring to figure out what it is she's saying. Long story short. She fails to arrange for the delivery to my current address. So I contact the shipper. Explain what's going on. Ask if it would be possible to forward the package to my correct address for which I will happily pay. No response. By the time I do get a response the package has been delivered and signed for. But no answer to whether they will forward. Do I shoot off another email to the shipper. Asking the same questions ostensibly. But portantly can you forward? As if this writing still no answer to that. Then I contact the business where the phone was delivered and I have the name of the fellow who signed for a half dozen packaged. I ask him if he could forward my package to me and I will pay. I give him my name. He looks. But there is no package with my name. So I opened a dispute that I intend to escalate to a claim in the 6th of Sept. Now. As in the case of most international shipments my signature is required. But because this was a business address the fellow that signed for all the packages has his name in file with the shipper. I have done everything I can think of to resolve this. 12 emails to the Seller. As of this writing 3 emails to the Shipper. All of this over 5 days. In one of the emails the seller admitted to me that she did not want to pay the expense ilof having the original order returned to her:. And this explains her scheme to have the phone forwarded. So. What's your take? Do I have any action at all? Or do I have to eat the price of this phone. Am I toast? No chance.? I have all the documentation .....But this transaction became a hot mess........
