Thanks for the quick response. August 24th was when reciever canceled the echeck. Since then it has been 9 full business days not counting today. Is it possible that it has to take (up to) 7 business days to be canceled, then another 7 business days (or less) to be sent bank into my bank account / paypal balance(not sure which)? I have checked with my friend and it says canceled on his end was well as mine.  ... View more

Cancelled payment - money never received

I sent my friend money through the family and friends option on paypal. However, I accidentially selected my linked bank account instead of my paypal balance. I wanted it to be an instant money transfer, and the payment sent from the bank takes multiple days to process and go through. I told him to cancel the payment, and I just resent the amount through my paypal balance with no problems.   However, it has been since August 24th since the payment (sent as an echeck from my bank account) has been cancelled and it has not been deposited back into my back account, paypal balance, or even my friend's paypal balance(On my paypal activity it even says "Canceled - Money Sent").   So, as far as I know, Paypal has lost the $15. Will customer support be able to help me with this? Or should I go to the resolution center? (I would prefer not to wait 2 hours on callback just so I can talk with a paypal agent and them refer me to the resolution center). Thanks ... View more

paypal debit card question

I see that I will first need to set up a personal acct., have 2 pmts to validate, then I can upgrade to premier in order to get a paypal debit card (My goal). After the debit card has been activated, will it still need to be linked to the checking acct and credit card I had to use to set up the personal acct?  I would like it not to be. Is it possible that the debit card can funtion alone with payments from selling? ... View more
