Alright, I made a purchase on ebay using paypal, I was given a tracking number by the scammer, the tracking number was in my local area, I don't know how the scammer gets that number but all has been resolved with paypal, I got my refund! When using ebay and paypal I found the buyer needs to go through ebay first and the refund can be by them more easily. Then, if necessary go to paypal and don't give up, talking with a paypal rep will work, if necessary then go to the bank but I didn't need to go to my bank, paypal listened after first denying my refund. I came here looking for help for the same scam, it seems paypal is contributing to the scam, too bad, I've used paypal for years because I believed paypal would help when scamming was evident or at least send a message to the required account email address warning of possible scamming. Time to tell paypal to buzz off, right now I'm out over $200 on ebay, I will be notifying ebay too so maybe then can help. I did notify ebay of what happened but I was sure paypal would help, not so. Right now ebay and paypal are contributing to scamming and driving consumers to more trusted online payment methods. I will let everyone I know how ebay and paypal are helping scammers.  ... View more
