Paypal should make people to enter new password twice when signing up. Whilst I understand it may seem like a good idea to remove this step because "it adds friction". In reality, if trying to sign up on Mobile, typos are more often and given that you don't see your password unless clicking on eye icon, you don't necessarily enter correct password and end up potentially unable to log back in. Having to make me to enter it twice ensures that I don't make any typos.
