I received 16 1-week subscription codes that were already redeemed. The seller asked me to screenshot my account, my purchases & the code to prove they are bad & I was not the user. I complied, (though even with personal information blacked out, this contains dates and information about other purchases & is rather intrusive).
At that point, the seller asked me to take screenshots of the other 15 codes & send them 15 more JPEGs. I balked and escalated to paypal.
This seems open and shut to me. The seller already admitted in the chat that at least 1 of the 16 codes was bad -- that should be it, I did not get what I paid for.
I'm curious if I filed this dispute incorrectly -- what is the semantics in play here with a digital item? did I "receive" what I ordered"? was it "damaged"? It was obviously redeemed and used, its not like it was in some different condition.
More importantly, what do I do now? Charge back the card? What language do I use to reopen the case?
