Hello, I’m in a huge dilemma right now. I would appreciate any kind of comment/information. Thank you. I am an Australian and back in November & December last year I purchased items from 4 different PayPal users in South Korea. I wanted to save on shipping costs for the individual items so I decided to use a separate couriers company from South Korea to ship to Australia. So when I purchased from 4 people on PayPal, they shipped my items to a warehouse in Korea (the couriers company) and the couriers company then packed all my items for me and shipped it to Australia. It landed in Sydney in December last year and then the couriers company sent me the parcel from Sydney to WA (what I live) via an Australian couriers company called transdirect. My parcel was collected by transdirect on 29 December 2020 and then I never heard from them back. I tried emailing and calling but they gave me no answers until today. They told me my parcel has been deemed lost. I can file an insurance claim (I had insurance with my parcel) and get a compensation but I’m wondering if I’ll be able to still get a full compensation with my PayPal receipt screenshots because it’s not an actual “receipt” provided by actual shops. I do have all the receipt/invoices from the PayPal accounts I purchased from though. And my couriers company from South Korea also was the one who packed my parcel so he knows that I had 4 separate items in that one parcel. Will a PayPal receipt be enough to get a compensation from an Australian couriers company or will they try and overlook things and say that there’s no evidence? *Edit: I’m extra worried because the full cost of all the items in total was around $600 AUD Please let me know. Thank you
