I am an American living abroad. I have two PayPal accounts. One is based in the USA, and the other in Hungary. I mainly use my Hungarian one since I am living in Hungary at the moment, however, from time to time I use my American one. I am currently writing and posting from my Hungarian one. Lately, I cannot log in to my American one. I know my password and I know my email. When I try to log in or reset my password, PayPal simply says "there has been an error on our site". It's been like this for months. Seems to me it's an underhanded way of saying "Your account is restricted for some reason." However, when I try to contact customer service in Hungary, they cannot help me, because they can only deal with EU accounts. If I switch to the American PayPal site, I cannot chat with anyone or get help because it wants me to login to gain access to the chat function, which I cannot do, because I CANT LOG IN (seriously, is PayPal really this dumb lmao?) So, I guess I have 0 options????? I can just never use my American PayPal again or what? What am I supposed to do? This has been my third or fourth excursion of attempting to recover. Anyone have any ideas?
