Good evening, I have scanned my letter (dated 23rd November) and emailed it to spoof@paypal.co.uk explaining in detail the reasons which make me very puzzled and suspicious about it all... Five minutes after I sent it, I received this message:   Thank you for your email. We've provided some information below to help you with your question. If you have questions regarding your dispute or claim, please visit our Help Center or view your dispute or claim in the Resolution Center. You can visit the Resolution Center by clicking Help & Contact at the bottom of any page, then click Resolution Center below the search bar. If you notice an unauthorized transaction on your account please click Help & Contact at the bottom of any page then click Contact Customer Service. On the next page click Password and account access, then click Report unauthorized access or unknown charges. On this page we'll provide you steps to file a report online, or the option to call or email us. If you'd like to contact us, please click Help & Contact at the bottom of any page, then click Contact Customer Service and select the reason for your contact.   Thanks for being a PayPal customer, PayPal Security   So,this is it? I spent 20mn scanning that piece of nonsense and typing an email to be simply redirected to the Help Centre by an automated email??? What concerns me most is PayPal's lack of communication; I've been lucky so far, never to have had a dispute with PP but dread to think what would happen if I had one!!!   COME ON PAYPAL! My wife received the letter too this afternoon... The whole thing is very strange as it's addressed to an incomplete postal address we've never used (but we still received the letter as the postcode was right). We've been married for 12 years but the recipient is my wife under her maiden name and she's never had a PayPal account! The email address is the first 3 letters of my wife's first name followed by ******@hot**********. I don't even know how such random pieces of information may have collected, especially the home address which omits the name of our house??? PayPal can do whatever they want with an account we've never had but this is rather disturbing all the same... ... View more
