I can’t even message anyone because I can’t log in due to my phone number being changed from that on my PayPal account therefor I can’t receive the code text. You are not alone! I’ve been locked out of my account since July for the same issue. When I call PayPal, the only department open is collections. Apparently I owed them $6 and they made a huge deal about it and couldn’t seem to comprehend that I couldn’t log in due to my phone number being changed there for not being able to receive the verification code text. I’ve spoken to so many different people and finally someone took my payment to clear up my account over the phone because they said before they could update my phone number my account must be at a zero balance. Tried calling back and someone actually asked if I could contact my old cell provider to obtain the code because she didn’t know how to update the phone number on my account. I’ve been completely mind blown at the lack of knowledge and willingness of their “customer service”. I’ve since created another account (not sure if I’m actually allowed) because I pay my rent via PayPal and had to have access to send money! I’ve even asked to cancel the one I’m locked out of but haven’t had luck with that option either. It’s so extremely frustrating and there are LOTS of people with the same issue. ... View more
