So week before last I sent in marriage license and drivers license to change my legal name on my account. It didn’t change so last week I called them and got a human fairly quickly. I was told that the PDF file that was my DL wasn’t clear enough to read and could I upload it as a picture. Sure. So I did. Today, it still wasn’t changed so I called them again and it took 45 minutes to get a person. Then I was put on hold for another 15 minutes to talk to a different person. I was also instructed to in the mean time upload my documents again, so I did. I get this other person, who tells me to upload them again, and proceeds to tell me they are all “blank”. Really? Just last week my ML was good, and DL was blurry. So this same rep says ok, now I need your DL and your social security card. I said, I JUST uploaded my DL. He says oh ok, well then I need a copy of your SS card. No. No where on the website does it say that is necessary to change my name. I asked for a supervisor. He says sure. Another eternity on hold, for him to get back on the line and say I’ve got so and so here to help you, let me transfer you. After 5 minutes of silence, the call ends. Any idea how to ACTUALLY get a human that can help??
