I have been having a lot of international companies scamming me, lately. I order a product and either dont get it, get it... but it is not as advertised, or get something super cheap that was not even CLOSE to being right. If I file a dispute, Paypal says to try to resolve it with seller at their email. I try, but either they NEVER respond, or they respond with something to piddle away the time, anything could be their reasons...mail is slow due to pandemic (which I don't dispute, it has been terrible on EVERYONE! But still...any easy excuse will do and that is a convenient one, Or it's "we do not have tracking number available," So eventually time slips by and no one can contact seller (except Paypal, I guess) and then dispute is dropped and I just list my money. Or... "package is "in transit" ( for an eternity, they mean) and today my experience with a dispute was that the email listed on Paypal was for delivery of a mini manicure set (worth a couple bucks) was sent in PLACE of a $30 table for bedroom. I emailed the address on Paypal website snd it bounced back as "undeliverable." What is wrong here?? I use Paypal a lot because I always trusted they got your back. Now I have lost over $100 getting either nothing, or some super cheap version or something in an entirely different category!! And in EACH case, sellers either never respond at all, cannot be reached because email address is not correct, or they delay responses and then "string you along" to bide their time until dispute expires and at that point, you lose. I don't know how I am supposed to feel. Anger is part of it. Frustration is another. What do y'all think? It makes me bitter because a lot of nice things come from overseas, but I will have to stop impulse purchases or limit them to companies I already trust. To tell you the truth, that is PRECISELY why I chose Paypal as my payment source: Because I trusted them to stand by the customer for our rights. But I am wondering why we never get to talk to a person. This texting stuff doesnt help without live support if you have an issue "outside the box." Unless it perfectly fits neatly under a category, too bad, I guess 😔
