Hi Guys, Thanks for all your answers and I would like to share with you my updates... I bought a pump for my car soft door closing system and the seller told me before the purchase it works perfectly...after waiting for 90 days because the seller shipped it with "USPS" via "Chicago" ;-( and I tried it on my car within a week and only found the item is faulty so I contacted him for a refund...He was like 'sure, you just claim it and I will refund but just said I purchased the wrong item so that his record could be kept clean...', but after going through both the ebay and paypal system I cannot find anything like 'return because of a wrong purchase' option and then I contacted the seller again and also asked whether he would bear part of the return shipment because it is not my fault. And this time he told me to keep the faulty parts and he will just refund me. But I told him the system does not have options like he mentioned and showed him the screen shots...he replied 'OK I will just refund you' and told me to check my paypal account... And bingo! I saw the system told me I have just got a full refund! After double checking and receiving emails from both ebay and paypal confirming, i wrote back and thanked him. So what I have learnt: 1) The seller can just refund you in full by a click of a button; 2) You do not really have to go through either ebay and paypal basically both will be glad that they do not have to step in; 3) All that happened within less than an hour as long as the seller is willing to take responsibilities and in the same time zone; 4) There are people out there selling faulty stuff to you in the hope you do not know what to do OR how to return AND ask for a refund, they will say please claim through either ebay and paypal so that they will act accordingly. Hope this helps. Happy shopping!
