I'm another one, sadly. The Ewantic website advertised Merrell Moab shoes, at 50% off. Figured it was some warehouse excess sell-off of a discontinued line, but still Merrells. 3 1/2 weeks later the shoes arrived, and they had sent me the DQ shoes, paper thin, hurt my feet after 2 hours and unlikely to last more than a couple weeks. If I wanted cheap knock-off shoes I would have gone to the discount store down the street and paid 20 bucks, knowing what I was paying for. Their site clearly advertises and promises Merrell shoes, with no hint of "...or a similar product" or anything like that. So, I wrote back to them right away, with a picture of the shoes they sent me, brand new. Asked for a full refund. Surprisingly they responded within 30 minutes, explaining that their profit margins are low and to not bother sending them back, as the shipping is too expensive to be worthwhile. They then offered a 15% refund of the purchase price ($47.50 USD). Obviously, I will still request the full refund, given the blatant false advertising. We'll see where this goes. It's encouraging to hear the Costco Mastercard refund might be an option as well, good thing I paid with that.
