Can you please cite the specific US law, including section, that requires you to ask for a photocopy of our Social Security card, Driver's License, pay stubs, or tax return? No other banking institution requires this.   Can you please tell us how you retain a copy of those fax images? Forever? And how are they stored?   Do you have any legally-binding statement that guarentess that you will not use that SSN for any purpose other than identifty verification an that PayPal will take full responsibility for all fraud related to that SSN?     ... So why are asking me to fax you a copy of my Social Security card? This is NOT required by the KYC laws and is a massive fraud risk. How long to you retain a copy of that fax image?
