I am not sure what you mean by "she gave to a mis-spelled account". Do you mean that I may have given to a mis-spelled account? The weird thing is that the name that showed up was her husband's name.   The cancel button still has not shown up. It just says "completed". So, I guess I'll open up a dispute. I just didn't want to hurt her account that she has but apparently does not know about! ... View more

Sent money to friend with no account

I sent a Paypal payment to a friend of mine because I owed her money for classes she will be teaching to my kids in the fall. However, she says she doesn't have a Paypal account and to cancel the payment and just send a check. When I looked at the transaction, though, it does not have the option to cancel. I have read on here that that means the payment was claimed. But, besides the fact that I know she wouldn't lie to me, I did not get an e-mail saying that may payment was claimed, as I always have in the past. So, what's the deal? And what do I do now? I need to get the money to her, but I am not going to pay twice! ... View more
