My mothers Paypal account was hacked back in March and a fraudulent transcation was made. She was unable to access her Paypal account on the day she noticed the trancation on her online banking which was March 25th. After speaking with the bank they refunded the amout of £326 - pending further investingations. Today they have advise her that Paypal have confirmed the transcation is legitimate and the bank will be taking the money back out of her account within 10 days. Since the the 25th of March she has been unable to speak to anyone at Paypal regarding this issue as a result of COVID-19. Without access to a paypal account she can't contact them via chat/email or raise a case against this transaction and their customer support phone lines are out of service. The bank will not extend the 10 day period, despite the above. Can someone please help ?
