I wanted to update everyone. I logged in to my loan builder account and the loan amount is showing as issued with due date. That’s a better response than what I was told yesterday. The “funding expert” I spoke to told me a loan was secured, and not by PayPal. He then went on to say another individual used my ein (identity theft), this was after I informed him that I applied with PayPal only. I called Webbank, the rep was unable to offer much. She referred me to PayPal, provided the number to contact PayPal working capital. It is beyond disappointing how PayPal has handled its error. There has been no follow up nor emails to explain this mess. I made several phonecalls and each funding expert “promised” to look into issue and call me back. I received an update from my local Sba office. Application was approved on may 1st on behalf of web bank. I gave PayPal the loan number and application number as provided by Sba. PayPal’s response to this issue is disappointing. PayPal/web bank botched applications and rather than reaching out to affected parties, the company is silent!!!! ... View more

Same here. I called PayPal (received varying responses). PayPal rep insisted there’s nothing to be done since a loan was secured, even though I explained my loan application was through PayPal only. I called Sba too, and I was referred to the lender (PayPal). I contacted my local Sba, and forwarded PayPal’s email. I’ve been told the local Sba office is investigating the issue.
