This is just a cathartic message. My dormant/suspended match.com account was hacked, the access to PayPal must have been stored in there (avoid match.com as well), so somebody gained access, made 2 payments worth over £170 (for a match.com pass of some sort) via PayPal and suspended my account again, all within 5 minutes. Since I have a 2 way identification, this was clearly an unauthorised activity, as the hacker somehow circumvent this (whatever they gained from the activity, I don't know). I received no warning from PayPal, 2-way ID was not required for this kind of activity. I raised a dispute, explained the situation, and within a few hours, over midnight, PayPal decided, the activity was authorised, no protection, case closed. No further communication possible. Interestingly, my own access to my PayPal account was limited after I changed my password to minimise future risk. Thankfully, match.com reimbursed me for the fraudulent activity. Message from PayPal: We decided in your favour!! (No, you didn't, and I still have issues accessing my own account – all favour to the hacker). Now, I am waiting for all the funds to have cleared and then I will happily delete my account. If it's that simple to withdraw money with PayPal then something is very backwards here. I will avoid such risk from now on so I don't have to spend weekend hours solving such issues. Good riddance.
