Hello a friend sent a payment to me of £1,200 yesterday afternoon. I thought paypal payments were instant so I was confused when it was showing as "pending" on their account and nothing came through to me. I cannot get through to anyone, customer services is shut I've tried the chat function and been on hold for nearly 4 hours despite paypal saying they would get back to me within an hour. could his bank have rejected the payment being taken? is this normal? how long until the payment will show? do we need to do anything or is it just a case of waiting a few days? Also, my mum sent a payment to me of £1 and this instantly showed in my account this afternoon! thanks so much, so worried because it's such a substantial amount of money! we opted to use paypal on the basis that it claimed to have a 20 second transfer time!
