The steps you outlined remove all the responsibility from the seller to be legitimate, and from Paypal to support the buyer's rights. Sellers and PayPal profit from all the transactions and hence should bear the majority of the responsibility to police their ranks and correct unfair business practices.   ... View more

Loads of other people have not had good results. I used to think that PayPal protected the buyers from poor sellers and bad practices. When it comes to my experiences with Chinese products and companies in recent years.  They are not holding sellers responsible for poor business practices. You may believe what you like, but don't lecture me on whether I should be vocal about those who would abuse buyers, and that includes PayPal's lack of fiduciary responsibility. All good advice, but we did all of the above and still got nowhere. An additional problem is that PayPal does not allow for chat, in person or on line, nor do they provide an email or even a physical address you can send mail to. They are faceless and you are voiceless if you disagree with their decisions. I use Paypal until I can find an alternative that actually listens to their customers and allows for person to person communications. ... View more

We have dealt with a number of Chinese companies, and get no communication, no replies, and no explanations. We tried to dispute with PayPal, but PayPal was completely AWOL. Even in the face of no product and no communications, PayPal refuses to intervene or to protect the buyer. PayPal is quickly becoming unreliable. They send your money, take their cut, but you get no representation when it goes south when working with a Chinese seller. Very disappointing. ... View more

Don't count on any help from PayPal. On purchases from China, PayPal is completely AWOL. They are willing to send your money to them and take their cut, but unwilling to do anything about the fraud from China. They should at least try to resolve the disputes, but we have had no luck with it. They could at leasy put a warning up... but they don't. ... View more

Lousy service and communications option

I ordered a product using Paypal to pay. After I contacted the seller the next day to cancel, they refused stating that they had already shipped the item. I contacted Paypal to file a dispute and they said, "The outcome of the case was not in your favor." With no explanation. Since that time, they will not allow me to file a dispute for non-delivery and I can find no information on how to contact PayPal to plead my case. I have used Paypal for decades and I'm disgusted with the lack of response and lack of communications options. April 17th My parcel is NOT "in transit". It hasn't even gotten to the beginning shipping point. "Origin post is PREPARING shipment->We have received NOTICE that the originating post is PREPARING to dispatch this mail piece" It has not moved. The order was made February 25th and nothing has been shipped. This has not moved in 52 says, almost two full months. ... View more
